The disposaling sediment is the key to design water diversion hub, because most of the rivers in Xinjiang is the multi-sand rivers. If the disposaling sediment of facilities design is not well, water diversion hub will not be able to play their due functions. So who water conservancy workers in Xinjiang the most concern is how to deal with the problem of sediment of water diversion hub. The sluicing chamber type water diversion hub is the "side water diversion, front sand sluicing "type that is well to prevent sediment.In this article, through model experiment study the sluicing chamber depth of sluicing chamber type water diversion hub influence characteristic of water and sediment. Through select the five sluicing chamber depth to do a series of experiment to study the influence of the sluicing chamber width depth ratio for sluicing chamber inner and their near region water flow direction, the equal water flow velocity distributes, the sluicing chamber guided wall outboard water of discharge. The sediment experiment base on the sluicing chamber inner and their near region of the water flow structure having be revealed, doing in progress.To study the sluicing chamber width depth ratio effect sluicing chamber inner the sediment characteristics of motion and water inlet sediment ratio, though doing a series of model experiment in according to water inlet sediment ratio to search the best the sluicing chamber width depth ratio. The experiment results showed that in the same condition that a certain water discharge of upstream, open the gate of the sluicing chamber, the sluicing chamber width depth ratioη=2.50 is the best, inlet sediment ratio is minimum. According to model experiment results to analyse the influencing factor of inlet sediment ratio. Apply dimensional analysis and data analysis to infer out water inlet sediment ratio the calculation formula to obtain water inlet to design sluicing chamber width depth ratio.
