Cement mixed pile is one of the effective treatments of the soft soil embankments, but there hasn't been an optimized design method of it, and the conventional methods of it mainly depend on the empirical analogy method. The unreasonable design methods always lead to the engineering accidents, and too conservative design always cause the waste.Based on the composite foundation calculation theory of the cement mixed pile, this dissertation studies the relationship between the pile length and the replacement ratio in both the settlement calculation and bearing capacity calculation. It proposes the method of controlling both the bearing capacity and the settlement in the cement mixed pile treatment, and deeply makes the research on the idea.This dissertation has mainly completed the following research work:(1) Selection of the settlement calculation comprehensively considering the precision and practicability.(2) Conclusion and analysis of the present theory, and select the method applicable for calculation of the cement mixed pile consolidation degree.(3) A composite foundation settlement calculation program has been written based on the proposed calculation method, mainly research on relationship of the pile length, replacement ration and the cement consumption.(4) Discussion of the design method and mathematical model.(5) Mainly studies on the he method of controlling both the bearing capacity and the settlement in the cement mixed pile treatment and the influence on the known parameters, and conclude some rules.(6) Application on the engineering example to prove the method's practicality.
