The theory of Floating Car is through dense distribution Floating Car in the road network to gather the traffic data, which is called Floating Car Data. With the traditional gathering method different is, FCD can gather many road section information under low cost situation, is the Intelligence Transportation System (ITS) data gathering fundamental mode.This paper fluctuation vehicle integrates GPS, GIS and the high frequency camera, users these equipment to gather travel time, travel speed, stop time, traffic density and traffic flew.This paper introduces two kind of gathering travel time and stop time method, and takes the true value with the semiautomatic gathering data, carries on the comparison with the automatic algorithm result, discovers two algorithm travel time difference is no more than 6s result is 83.1%, the travel speed difference is no more than 5Km/h result is 94.5%.We may think this paper's automatic algorithm has the very high precision.The analysis has studied the algorithm of Floating Car gathering traffic flew. Through the theory inferential reasoning and to the non-continuum flow and the continuum real diagnosis confirmation, proposed the reasonable transportation flows the speed algorithm, and has confirmed the algorithm feasibility.Union the request of Floating Car to vehicle recognition and through the analysis the pattern recognition technology characteristic, proposed suits this paper's recognition technology. This paper also introduces the composition of Floating Car.Finally, this research has carried on the summary and further studies the direction to carry on the brief discussion.
