| The application of external sun-shading in architectural design has a long history, and many architects take it as a method of shaping the space and framing the face of architecture. However, people often focus on the artistic factors of external sun-shading but ignore its function of controlling the radiation of sun, this conception leads high energy consumption in buildings, especially in hot summer cold winter region, With increasing attention paid on the subject of energy saving in architectural design, it is obviously significant for us to adopt scientifically and efficiently sun-shading techniques to control energy consumption in buildings. Based on the classification and summarization of the external sun-shading, this dissertation elaborated on a series of key points at the standpoint of architectural design. We hope this dissertation can do some positive researches on dealing with the relationship between external sun-shading and architectural design.First, based on the relationship between external sun-shading and boundary structures of buildings, this dissertation divides external sun-shading into two types at the standpoint of architectural design: outer sun-shading and inbuilt sun-shading. Each ones are elaborated on its performance, design points through examples. Second, this dissertation discusses the influencing factors and strategies of integration design for external sun-shading and building. Then we compare the differences in integration design between two types. Third, we take complexity and intelligence for the future development directions of external sun-shading. |
