The failure prediction of tunnel surrounding rock has become one of the important tasks with the road tunnel construction's developing, which characteristic is more longer,bigger,deeper and cluster. But no unified criterion to classify the tunnel surrounding rock, the existing theories and methods of stability are not most exactly appropriate to road tunnel. That is the reason why the author do study on the subject.Thanks to the Ministry of communication, which has a scientific research on"Forecasting theory and warning systems on relaxation load of road tunnel", that has a great help on this paper. In the paper, the prediction of deformation failure of tunnel surrounding rock and the rock mass classification are presented. And then study the determination method for the stability of road tunnel surrounding rock by means of monitoring measurements, numerical and statistical analysis.The displacement criterion of two-lane highway tunnel is given, which is based on a great data from monitoring measurements and numerical analysis. The Prediction and Management System of Deformation Failure of Surrounding Rock is presented in the paper and it will get perfect with practice. Then give the approximate formula relating surrounding rock's displacement with its classification, which is taken as y = axb±c. Classification of surrounding rock based on the monitoring measurements is the development projects of monitoring measurements integrated with BQ classification, and uncertainty back analysis, which can quickly and accurately determine the classification of rock at the construction site. And then establish the "Road Tunnel Surrounding Rock's Classification System". Finally, the two systems, prediction & management system and classification system, combined with " Data Management System of Tunnel Monitoring Measurements ", the establishment of the Tunnel Construction Intelligent Data Management and Analysis System ". The Baiyun tunnels verify the system correct.Main innovations are shown as follows :(1)Set up the displacement criterion for two-lane highway tunnel based on both"allowable relative displacement"by measuring and"limit relative displacement"by numerical analysis. And then establish the prediction management system of monitoring measurement on tunnel site.(2)Through the displacement numerical statistics of two-lane road tunnel surrounding rock, obtained, obtain the formula relating surrounding rock's displacement and the broad depth at different levels of rock(3)Introduce Kallman filtering uncertainty back analysis into the classification of tunnel surrounding rock, and determine the classification based on site measurements and back analysis.
