| The significance of realizing integrated dispatching and distribution automation system is briefly introduced in this paper. Developments of dispatching automatization and distribution automation both at home and abroad are presented, and characteristics of distribution networks in our country are also presented. According to the developments of dispatching automatization and distribution automation, in accordance with the characteristics and actual conditions of regional distribution networks, the general construction of integrated dispatching and distribution automation system is put forward. And this system mainly adopts integrated dispatching and distribution automation mode based on high-speed communication channel in which monitoring and control are centralized by the main station. This system is composed of main station system of dispatching and distribution automatization, feeder automation system and communication network system. Functions of the constituent parts are determined.
