The advanced frictional technology has the important meaning to the thorough development of friction material performance. Along with swift development of computer technology, the automated test technology is also mature day by day, applies it in the frictional testing machines has become an important content to the friction material performance research. The frictional testing machines performance system developed in this article is precisely combined by the computer technology and the frictional testing machines.This article uses the virtual instrument technology, carried the hardware and the software design on the frictional testing system. On the hardware we use the velocity sensor, the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor and so on to examine each testing data, it has realized automatic gathering of various parameters. On the software we use the platform of Lab Windows/CVI, adopted the modulation design method, has realized the gathering signal real time and display, control accurate output of signal, correct processing of tentative data, draw and fit the performance curve of parameter through using data inosculation technology.The overall system has the merits of friendly surface, easily operation, completed function and so on, the test result indicated that the application of VI on frictional testing system increased the testing stability, reduced the development time, the save expenses, improved the test precision and the experimental efficiency. The system can widely apply in the scientific research institute and the manufacturer, and has the high promotion application value.
