Carbone-controller is the core module of the Cab signal equipment. In the system of communication based train control, the carbone-controller using the precise train localization and continuous, high-speed, bidirectional data communicating with trackside safety equipment, implement the closed-loop control of the train. In order to ensure the safety of the train operating, to research and practice testing method of carbone-controller is good to evaluate the equipment capability, diagnose, localize, and fix the failure of the equipment.This paper is researching the testing method of the carbone-controller function in three parts: first, testing basis function of carbone; second, testing CBTC function of carbone- controller; last, tesing the interface between carbone-controller and rolling stock.The testing of basic function of carbone includes testing generating the train control command, localizing the train and the safety function. To generate train control commands, carbone-controller receives variant messages from the trackside through the beacon and then generates train control commands. To localize the train, catching and analyzing the data frame will be used, in order to judge whether the localizing function of the train is right. To test the safety function, simulating to set an abnormal situation, it will be detected whether the carbone-controller generates a right command, according to the safety principle.While testing the CBTC function of carbone-controller, the communication function between the zone controller and carbone-controller will be mainly tested, including the LOC report, End of Authority and variant messages from the trackside equipment. Through catching the three different kinds of data frame, the LOC report is tested whether it shows true train location and status; whether the end of authority can generate different train control commands, according to different trackside situation; and whether the variant messages from trackside can show the change of the equipment status, according to the truth. The testing method of the synchronization of necessary system time between the carbone-controller and the line-controller is researched, by detecting the status of the carbone-controller and analyzing whether the synchronization is established.There are data-type interface and non data-type interface between the rolling stock and the carbone-controller. These interfaces should be tested to guarantee the commands of carbone controller can precisely execute.
