The pollutants were enriched by the solid phase extraction and analyzed by the gas chromatography/electrical conductivity detector(GC/MECD)and chromatography/mass spectrum (GC/MS)in this study.The toxic organic pollutants including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs), organochlorine pesticides(OCPs),polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),phenols(PHs),volatile organic compounds(VOCs)were studied targets.The concentrations in raw water and effluent water of nine waterworks in BeiJing and removal of them in 9th waterwork were studied,the removal efficiency of water treatments were compared and assessed as well.As a result of study,it can be concluded:1,The concentration of the toxic organic pollutans including PAHs,OCPs,PHs and VOCs detected in the waterworks were under the relative limit of water supply industry standard in China.2,The PAHs detected in raw and effluent water were mainly low-ring PAHs,and the PAHs pollution in raw water mostly came from petrogenic sources.The concentration of PAHs were not influenced by seasons.HCHs and DDTs made great contribution to the concentration of OCPs,they mostly came from the residue in environment,and the result of sping was higher than autumn.3,NPs,Pentachlorophenol and BPA took a great part in detected PHs,which acts as endocrine disrupting chemicals.4,Removal efficiency of conventional treatment plus advanced treatment in removing the toxic organic pollutants was good,the removal rate was as high as 85%.the removal efficiency of toxic organic pollutants:PHs>OCPs>PAHs.The concentration of VOCs in effluent water was higher than it in raw water after the water treatment because of the addition of disinfectants,which can react with NOW in water,and impel the generation of disfectants by-products.So the concentration after water treatment was high.
