In recent years, more and more people concern the stability of bank in wind wave when large and medium-sized reservoirs build. When wave propagate to the bank of reservoir, a sequence of wave pressure is induced on the bank. The wave pressure induces a stress field and associated pore water pressure fluctuations within the bank. With excess pore and diminishing vertical effective stress, part of the seabed may become unstable or even liquefied. The instability of the bank has been responsible for the damage and destruction of bank structures. So it has importance in theory and applied value of engineering to research the dynamic pore water pressure responses in bank of reservoir and it's stability under waves loading are developed. Work of this paper includes theory researches, laboratory experiments and numerical simulation.A flume test is used to analyze the surface wave force and pore-water pressure in bank of reservoir under different conditions. Linear regular waves and cnoidal waves are made in the experiments. Based on the experiment result, it shows that roughness coefficient and permeability coefficient are the more important factors influencing the wave force of bank surface; wave height and wave period more significant affect the pore-water pressure; and the wave steepness, relative position along the depth and coefficient of permeability are close with the pore-water pressure. Simultaneously, pore-water pressure will be bringing amplitude attenuation and phase lag with increasing depth.Based on dynamic elastic consolidation theory and simplified bank of reservoir to two dimensional banks, the paper establish FEM equations for solving transient response of bank, and works out computer programs. Compared with measured pore water pressure in bank, calculated results show that elastic theory is valid for bank. The programs can work for the bank of reservoir with complex boundary under the action of regular waves and cnoidal waves.The paper analyzes the influence of additional wave-induced pore water pressure in bank of reservoir on the stability of bank. The computical results show that in more permeable bank additional pore water pressure can reduce the stability coefficient of the bank by three percent or so. In contemplation waves weaken the properties of bank soil, the influence will be greater.
