The Xiaowan Hydropower station has the concrete's dome dam, there is various Rotten-rock belt in the its dam abutment. the Rotten-rock belt's character and it's project characteristic, specially its creep property plays the control action to the distortion of dam abutment, even affects the security of the dam. This paper emphasizing analyze the Rotten-rock's creep mechanical characteristic unifing this project question. The Rotten-rock of Xiaowan belongs to the hydrothermal alteration, and the rupture structure becomes the ascending channels of the heat liquid. the distribution of rotten-rock just is located in the rupture zone and its adjacent zone. the structure of its periphery rock mass is relatively fracture. So it be regarded as the soft rock in the project.Analyzed the Rotten-rock belt's spatial distribution rule which is in the dam abutment, through the investigation and study in the locale. and Selected the different Rotten-rock to adopt the test specimen in the dam abutment, and tested in the indoor experiment. Obtained the data of physical property and the creep mechanics characteristic, such as long-term strength and viscosity coefficient of the Rotten-rock, and provided the reliable mechanics parameter for the dam abutment's design. Summarized creep constitutive-model which is suited the Xiaowan Rotten-rock, through analysis creep property of Rotten-rock. Utilized FLAC3D which is a numerical simulation software to analyze the single and three axes compressive creep tests, and carried on the comparative analysis the indoor creep test with the test result of numerical simulation. Finally, operated the numerical simulation with the three axes compressive creep tests, and analyzed the creep property. This article carried on the beneficial discussion for further studying the creep property of the Rotten-rock.
