The past five decades had witnessed four distinct growing stages of anti-ship missile (ASM)development, as well as its significant role as the crucial weapon attacking enemy vessels innaval warfare. With the transformation of modern naval battlefield into offshore even the littoralregion, the complicated nature and electromagnetic environment engage multiple objectiveswithin the field of view (FOV) of the seeker; thereby the difficulty will severely increase of theseeker to acquire the assignated warship after it turns on. With a view to the situation of ourcountry, absence of the automatic target recognition (ATR) capability, also the unsafe level ofcurrent relayed guidance, ASM in service can't acclimatize itself to the urgent and real challengeof offing naval warfare; some efficient betterment basing on acquiring mode in existence shouldbe proposed immediately. Featured characteristic of precision inertial navigation system (PINS),self-determination, high updating rate, short term accuracy, strong anti-jamming performance, accelerate its comprehensive usage into the ASM field. By analyzing existing mode detailedly, this dissertation avails ASM seeker of creditable prior information provided by PINS, sets properselectivity point and preelection region, thus enhances its target-acquisition-performance. Thesetreasures could come into being practical efficiency in naval warfare under complicated settings. This thesis comprises five main chapters, and content will be summarized later one by one.The background and significance of this research is briefly specified in Chapter 1, the statusof PINS and ASM acquisition mode are summed up in detail, and the key problem andresearching thoughts are shortly put forward for the later interpretation.PINS is discussed roundly in Chapter 2. At the outset, this chapter summarizes development courses, existing precision level and general tendency, and in succession establishes the model of gimbaled INS to state the error characteristic quantificationally in navigation simulation. Then, it brings in a novel information fusion method between seeker and INS, the aiding using Doppler velocity measurement, and concludes the using possibilities of PINS in ASM field.Acquisition method is thoroughly analyzed in Chapter 3. In this chapter, the classification, existing strategies, improvement, renovation, and moving direction of ASM acquiring method are concluded in the beginning, then dynamic acquiring model of the seeker is set up to simulate the target-acquisition process. By presuming the missile striking scene and supposing in reason, it synthesizes auto-control termination error, target scattering and current-pointing shoot mode to establish the acquiring model, then proposes a new acquisition-probability-computing seven-step approach, then applied it to work out the probability distribution in termination scattering zone in the presence of representative scenario, and in the end summarizes probability-affecting factors to present several elementary considerations. The record-then-compare and selecting-region expanding strategy are specified to pave way for the coming betterment. Acquisition strategy using PINS is concluded ultimately in Chapter 4. By presuming the missile striking scene in offing naval warfare, and by synthesizing auto-control termination error and target scattering, this chapter brings in the INS credibility conceptually, to describe the prior information veracity in quantity. Basing the credibility factor, it proposes novel betterment steps of the two strategies discussed before: sets proper selectivity point and pre-election region. The improving approach has practicability due to its passable performance without the adding of extra instruments as well as its conveniences both in theory and in practice. In conclusion, Chapter 5 summarizes the whole dissertation particularly in the main work and innovation facets, and then offers several suggestions for the succeeding research.
