This paper details the design methods of computer control system in the field of accelerator control, through the application and research in 300kV anion injection control system and high-intensity ion beam control system.The control modes of dials, switches, relays were applied in traditional accelerator control system. The control system was in a lower degree of automation and had great difficulties in maintenance and upgrading, and also the continuous overall coordination at the scene was poor, more spare parts were needed. Compared with the foreign control systems, ours have enormous gaps in the aspects of overall control, self-diagnostic procedures, integration of computer systems and stability of software and hardware.Based on the analysis of latest developments about measurement and control in the realm of computer technology, network technology, communication technology and modern control technology, also, in consideration of the very professional features in accelerator control, virtual instrument, industrial Ethernet, programmable logic controller are applied in this application and research. The system is based on virtual instrument and establishes industrial Ethernet star fiber network control system. The hardware system is realized by computer, fiber-optic network and Siemens S7-300 series PLC. Software system is developed with the classic virtual instrument software, LabWindows/CVI and STEP7 ladder development tools. The control system achieved multiform communications, such as Ethernet, Serial and MPI, etc.After running show, the completed application of accelerator control system better resolves the problem of the disturbances come from the high pressure environment. It achieves the overall automatic operation, automatic detection, self-diagnostic function, and it greatly enhances the level of automation control system, security, stability and reliability and achieves the desired objectives.Meanwhile, the application and research has a good guidance in the establishment of computer control system in the relevant areas of the nuclear facilities.
