In this paper, firstly, the substation general automation system and microprocessor protective device are summarized simply .Secondly ,the composition of hardware and the design of software are elaborated. After introducing some basal concept ofμC/OS-Ⅱ, the paper emphasizes its naturalization to LPC2292. Moreover , the special computer algorithms are introduced in the paper.According the special application backgrougd about this device to use at power line protection in enterprise substation ,the paper designed a kind of microprocessor line protection device based on ARM and embedded RTOSμC/OS-Ⅱ.The hardware adopts ARM and MCS-51 as double CPU configuration. It uses the ARM processor LPC2292 made in Philips Company as control kernel to realize the protection, measure and communication function. Besides, using the P89C668H SCM to complete the man-machine interface. The device is more light,more elastic by adopting embedded system and can be installed in the field.The software design is based on the embedded RTOSμC/OS-Ⅱ.After presenting the protect configurationand arithmetic,the software part introduces the decomposing of the task partition and the design of the application program.Finally,the research result is summarized and the follow-up job is prospected.
