| Optical-electric current transformer is a kind of new-style electronic current transformers. It has potential benefits over conventional current transformers such as inherent high-voltage isolation, immunity to electromagnetic interference, enhancement in signal bandwidth and dynamic range, ease of integration into future digital control and protection systems and will be widely used in power electrical system.There are two fundamental of the optical-electric current transducers, which are active OCTs and non-active OCTs. After analyzing the current development of optical-electric current transformer,this article introduces transformer based on Rogowski coil and its theoretical analysis.In optical transmitting unit,optical-electric converter with ideal couple performance and sound transmitting ability is developed base on features of optical fiber, and ensures disturance-resistance ability.This article introduces transformer based on Rogowski coil and its theoretical analysis and experimental research as well as the optical supply power. The question of power supply in the high voltage side of the OCT is a very important part in the design of transformer which can determine whether the whole system can work rightly or not. This paper discusses several methods of power supply and then adopts the method whose power supply was provided by laser.This paper describes the working characteristic of the key apparatus(LD) and photoelectric conversion, and deeply researches the drive circuit, protection circuit and temperature controlled circuit. A low power consumption design of the electronic circuit in the high voltage side is given because of the very limited energy which can be supplied by laser.Finally, with the use of PWM driving method , the temperature control-system has been developed with digital circuit .
