Only through the current experiment, students just get the pressure data. However, they can't have completely acknowledged about the stress factor and the whole process about pressure's distribution. Let alone train students on the capacity of journal bearing's design.The simulation experimental system of the journal bearings was developed through combining theory and practice under the Matlab , Visual Basic and Pro/E environment. This system has a systematic connection of teaching theory and virtual experiments of the journal bearings. It enhances the student's understandings to the content of journal bearings and thereby trains the student's capability of independent innovation. In order to optimize the system, the whole system is divided into several sub functional modules, and the realization of respective sub functional modules is probed with details.In the experiment part, some research on the film pressure distribution of the journal bearing has been down in this thesis. On the basis of the hydrodynamic lubricant theory, a simulation curve of radial and circumferential journal bearing film pressure's distribution is produced. The curve changed after inputting the different parameters, revealing the factors that have effect on the film pressure's distribution, making students more deeply understand the journal bearing's loading rule. The simulation curve and actual curve are consistent in shape. This shows feasibility of the method.In the teaching part, the system shows the content and the fundamental theory of the journal bearings with the advanced computer simulation technology. It can deep the student's impression and improve the teaching result.With totally eight chapters, the author closely combines the experiment and the teaching method of the journal bearings together, thus not only helps students strengthen the understanding of the content, but also improves their capabilities of experimenting and data analyzing. At the end of the thesis, the author summarized the whole system, and set out some thoughts on the purpose of perfecting the system.
