With railway fast developing and train speed growing, the requirement of accurate signal detecting turns more and more important. In order to accommodate the requirement of railway development, it is very necessary to research out a more credible and accurate algorithm for railway signal detecting. In this paper, it presents a new detecting method using maximal module based on wavelet theory for A.V. counting signal and FSK signal, in addition, it gives out the simulation result by Matlab. For detecting of A.V. counting signal, it includes three steps: reducing noise firstly, getting out the approximate contour secondly and then detecting the signal using wavelet in the end. For FSK signal detecting, it presents the method of detecting in time domain using wavelet theory combining with the current way of detecting in frequency domain. From the simulation result, it can find that the A.V.counting signal detecting has small error and strong ability of resisting disturbing, moreover, it overcomes the defect of in-obvious breaking point in traditional method; FSK signal detecting not only can get the upper and lower frequencies, but also overcome the shortcoming of second and third harmonics in current method. Therefore, it has very important meaning and practical value to improve the accuracy of railway signal detecting by using this method based on wavelet theory.
