Masonry structure is the most extensive applied in the current multi-storey residence, this type of structural system will remain for a considerably long period of time. The use of traditional wall materials brings many issues, the most prominent problem is the using of large amount of clay brick, bringing serious problem to the natural environment and socio-economic. Concrete common brick refers to solid brick which takes cement as cementitous material, sand and stone as main aggregate made by adding water to stir, shape and curve. This brick is a good substitution for clay brick, and it is one type of new green wall materials having good development of prospects. However, little research has been done and no standard or norm by the government or trade has been set, which will hinder the use and popularization of the concrete common brick.This paper in the introduction outlines the domestic and foreign countries' new type wall materials' developmental status and tendency, and sums up the current domestic new type wall materials' development of the existing problems, and clarifies this issue on the purpose and significance.Firstly, this paper tests concrete common brick's physical performance, including brick's strength and volume density, water absorption, evaporation rates, freeze-thaw and so on, and analyzes the correlation between aggregate and physical properties from micro-level applying of MATLAB analysis software.Secondly, this paper tests concrete common brick masonry's mechanical properties, including test of masonry's slit shear strength, bending tensile strength, axial compressive strength, elasticity modulus and Poisson's ratio. This paper analyzes masonry's destructible feature and failure mechanism, and concerns related application of indicators and methods.Thirdly, this paper tests concrete common brick wall's seismic performance under cyclic loading. This paper analyzes wall's lateral-resisting bearing capacity and stiffness, ductility, energy consumption and so on, and concerns related application of indicators and methods. This paper finally uses finite element ANSYS common procedures to establish solid model which is close to the test, including the simulation of the test of bending tensile strength and axial compressive strength, wall's seismic performance. Through the in-depth study, finite element analysis results show that simulation results coincide with the test results.Through this systematic, comprehensive, in-depth research and finite element simulation analysis, this paper gives many useful conclusions about concrete common brick in production, design, construction and application, and there is also much beneficial exploration about the relevant calculation, analysis software applied in concrete common brick and its masonry.In this paper, test and calculation results can also be based upon to reference for enacting pertinent standard criterion and related research.
