Pulsating heat pipe(PHP) is a new type heat pipe. After their introduction in the early of 90s of last century research activities in the area of pulsating heat pipe have steadily increased. It's researches are mostly on the theoretic research of how to establish mathematics model and experimental research of the visualization of operation mechanism and the influence of many parameters on thermal performance of PHP. The theoretical and experimental investigation are still at an primary stage. Pulsating heat pipe is suited for the micro-electronics cooling of high heat flux because it's great heat transport ability. In this experiment, the CLPHP elements with different experiment angles and cool temperatures are designed and fabricated, and the PHP setup is established. In vacuum and normal state, the effect of parameters of experimental setup, such as heat input, gaining some experiment results as following:In normal state, the heat transport capability became great with the increasing of inclination angle at the same filling ratio, when the angle bigger than 70°, heat transport capability decreased smoothly. In vacuum, PHP performance kept continuous increase with the angle's increased, and PHP performance got the best state when the angle is 90°.In normal state, filling ratio 50%,PHP heat transport capability was better than any others's; and in vacuum, heat transport capability got to the best state needs 30% of filling ratio. In vacuum: PHP heat transport performance was very bad when took the top heat input way. About experiment of changing the temperature on condenser, experimental result show that heat transport performance could improved when the temperatue of condenser closed to the saturaed temperature of work fluid. This experimental investigation was conducted to determine the AL2O3 microparticle effect on the heat transport capability of a PHP in normal state, ande experimental results show that these exit an optimum ratio of microparticles added into the working fluid.
