| The transverse flux linear switched reluctance motor (TFLSRM) is a new kind of linear motor, which has been researched recent years. It has the advantages of linear motor, transverse flux motor and switched reluctance motor, and its flux is vertical to its motion direction. While its magnetic circuit is decoupled from electric circuit. The TFLSRM can be designed flexibly according to the demand, and has blocking character. Therefore, the linear motor vehicle made of TFLSRM is firm, credible, cheap and easy to maintenance, furthermore, it can exert the advantages of linear motor vehicle in urban orbital traffic.The development of the switched reluctance motor (SRM) position detection technology at home and abroad are introduced at the beginning of the paper, which made a documentation overview on direct detection and indirect detection technology. Then based on the intrudes of the structure and principle of TFLSRM, the analysis of the reason for large thrust force ripple is made, and the methods at home and abroad for the minimization of thrust force ripple are systematically analyzed.In this paper, the theory of direct torque control which has been mature used in the field of AC motor is used in TFLSRM. Meanwhile, back propagation neural network (BPNN) is used in this paper to detect position of TFLSRM. System of direct thrust force control for TFLSRM based on the position detection using neural network is found. Simulation based on Matlab/Simulink have been taken to proved the feasibility and effectively of the system.Thrust force ripple and the use of position sensor are two major factors which limit the use of TFLSRM, while the purpose of this paper is to find a theoretic solution to them by using direct torque control theory and neural network. |
