When city traction vehicle acts electrical brake,the DC Voltage of Power Supply system would rise up and would threaten the safety and stabilization of system..As current traction power supply system adopts diode rectifier to supply power,brake energy cannot recycle. Currently, the method of handling the brake energy is utilizing resistor to consume the energy,which is uneconomical and would bring the new problem such as heat.To solve this problem metioned above,this paper designs a new type traction power supply system.The new type traction power supply system consists of several PWM converter in parallel connection.PWM converter can run in rectifier condition or inverter condition,which can recycle the brake energy to the electric network.This paper analyses the model,main circuit topolopy and parameter and control strategy,which also introduces a scheme of hardware and software design of control system.In the end,this paper present the waveform of simulation and experiment.This paper proves that new type power supply system has less harmonics, higher factor,faster dynamic response than traditional diode rectifer system.
