At present, China's railway trucks are progressing in high speed and heavy load direction, busy routes have been traveling T5,000 heavy haul trains, Datong and Qinhuangdao special railway lines for carrying coal will travel T30,000 heavy haul trains on the basis of traveling T20,000 heavy haul trains. Since we carried out high speed and heavy load,the C80B and other main vehicle carbody structures appeared fatigue crack damage, so the fatigue problems of vehicle structures become one of the key factors for upgrading vehicle equipment technology.There is no content concerned on the design of fatigue strength in the specifications of vehicle carbody structure design in our country, update the fatigue strength design specification of the vehicle carbody structure has become a very urgent job, and it will have great significance for upgrading our country's desigh level of vehicle carbody structures.This paper take the C70-General gondola car body as the study object, processed the load/stress-time history data and carried out the rainflow counting on the basis of the dynamic stress test of the T5,000 heavy haul trains, then compiled the stress spectrum of measuring point of carbody,load spectrum of center plate,longitudinal load spectrum and roll load spectrum. On the basis of ANSYS finite element analysis software,a finite element model of C70 carbody was set up.Then,on the condition of center plate's load, longitudinal load, roll load and torsion load,the carbody was calculated and got the connection between the load and stress of the measuring points.Next,chose the test data of Fengtai West Station to Hengshui at Sep. 27th, 2006, respectively calculated damage using stress spectrum and cumulative damage using every load spectrum to the measuring point,and verified the validity of the load spectrum through compare and analysis. At last,carried out the fatigue damage calculation and fatigue life prediction of the carbody using the load spectrum of AAR standards.
