Research On Architecture Design For Economic Hotel Chain

Economic hotel chain is a major hotel architecture type developing rapidly in large and medium-sized cities in China recent years. Being a supplement to hotel architecture types, it is not involved in star hotel rating system and, in the exploring stage in China, has different standard with abroad. It is their particular operation mode and development stage that set forth new requirements for architecture design.With a brief description of modern hotel development and the background and characteristics of economy hotel chain, this thesis advises that economic hotel chain need effective architecture design principles and design operations to achieve operation and commercial value, then analyzes several representative cases .On the basis of theory expounding and case study, the thesis presents the points of design principles, as of the use of operators and consumer demand, of the material level and spiritual level, as of exchange and complementary with social resources. The principle includes economy with comfort, ease of transport, commercial with cultural requirement, as well as the transformation and regeneration of old buildings.Combining the above design principles, the corresponding architecture design methods, mainly in the site, the plane layout and parking, scale, function and architectural layout, facade and interior design, and renovation of old buildings, supplemented by quantitative indicators, show how the architecture design methods implement the principle.The final conclusion is that the architecture design research on the economy hotel chain summed up its significance for the development of architecture, and enlightens the approach to all types of architecture.
