For improving theory, ameliorating technology and increasing experience Air inflated membrane will consequentially have promising development in China.The development history, basic theory, FEM calculation will be introduced. By means of cable-membrane structure special analysis program SMCAD, some typical Air inflated membrane will be calculated for Form-finding analysis and load analysis. Influencing factor in Form-finding analysis such as initial pressure, cable and membrane prestress, type of cable grid, boundary condition and the convergence property will be discussed as well as the force transmission rule of Air inflated membrane in load analysis. Some general conclusions in Air inflated membrane design will be put forward."How to prevent rain for Bird Nest?"has been a new problem after its switching roof was removed.
