Analysis of the Engineering Vehicle Air Conditioning (EVAC) system is performed in this thesis, including the cooling load, the air flow of the driver's room and running performance of the EVAC. The experiment of the EVAC is also performed.Take into account all kinds of heat transfer way, the cooling load of the EVAC has been calculated accurately. The software of cooling load has been compiled for most EVAC.The CFD analysis of the air flow in driver's room showed that the air inlets on the top wall are better than them on the side wall. Computer simulation models have been developed for EVAC, and the running performance have been simulated with different compressor speed, different air flow of condenser and evaporator. Calculational data and experimental data have a good agreement, the error is less than 5%. The results show that all models can simulate the system performance very well, they can be used a tool for the development of the EVAC.The optimization of the EVAC system has been carried out by changing the structure of the condenser. This way can alleviate the weight of the system and increase the cooling capacity and COP.
