The working function of piezoelectric gas pump is depending on the vibration of piezoelectric disk. So we can get the pulsating or continuous output by adjusting the frequency and phase, and we can get the same purpose by adjusting the number of chambers and the voltage. The principle of piezoelectric gas pump is different with the traditional pump completely. Because of no motor driving the structure of piezoelectric pump can be small, because of no complex movement, the noise of piezoelectric pump can be low, and the piezoelectric pump is easy to integrate. If the functional advantage and the high energy transforming ratio can be taken out, this structure of pump can be one of best idea to resolve the minuteness pump problem. It can be applied in the area of biomedical, chemical, micro-electromechanical and the area which need small figure and high output.The structural parameters and the output characteristics of pump are discussed in this paper. Integrating the various structures and working principle of piezoelectric pump at home and abroad, multi-chambers gas piezoelectric pump is taken out. The working principle and the output of multi-chambers gas piezoelectric pump are researched.1. The application prospects and research of piezoelectric gas pumpThe status of study about Micro-pump at home and abroad were introduced, problems to be solved were introduced either. The principle and the structure of air pump were analyzed, and the development tend of air pump was forecasted.2. The theory of piezoelectricityThe basic theory of piezoelectric ceramics was introduced. The positive piezoelectric effect, the negative piezoelectric effect and the main capability of piezoelectric ceramics were expatiated. The support, vibration mode, resonant frequencies of piezoelectric disk were discussed, the theoretical model of piezoelectric disk and the connection of excitable signal was given.3. Research on the quality of circinal piezoelectric bimorph disk1) The distortion of piezoelectric disk librations, the static and dynamic states of piezoelectric disk were analyzed. The state of whole piezoelectric disk was got by the static analysis. Experimental research about the deformation of the piezoelectric vibrator shows: The deformation of piezoelectric bimorph is affected by wave of power supply. Rectangle wave can make biggest deformation, sina wave is bigger than triangle wave. Base on the noise: Rectangle wave is worst, sina wave is better than triangle wave. In another way, the supplied voltage and the frequency of the signal affect the deformation of piezoelectric bimorph too. In general, the deformation of piezoelectric bimorph was decreased with the frequency increasing.2) The resonant frequency of freedom state and simple support state of piezoelectric disk were measured, and these were analyzed.3) The test of heated piezoelectric disk was showing: the temperature of piezoelectric disk was increasing with voltage and frequency. Under that we could choose the best working voltage and the best working frequency of the piezoelectric pump.4. The structure design and theory analysis of dual-chamber piezoelectric pump1) Using the knowledge of engineering thermodynamics, the compression of gas in the piezoelectric pump was supposed in idealistic condition and was analyzed in detail. And this theory was tested in the following experiment.2) The piezoelectric pump's output character of parameter definition and measure method was introduced. Some theories were driven either.3) The working principle of single cavity gas pump, dual-chamber tandem gas pump and dual-chamber parallel gas pump were introduced detailedly. The working placement of valve is analyzed from the point of compression ratio and partial loss, and the location of valve is optimized. 5. The experimental research and the laws of conclusion of dual-chamber gas piezoelectric pumpBy improving the output of piezoelectric gas pump, the material of manufacturing dual-chamber tandem pump and dual-chamber parallel pump was PMMA. Through the tests of those pumps, the conclusion showed:The output of gas pump was affect by the valve, the height of cavity, the size of cushion chamber. Through the test of valve, we found that the opening ability of umbrella valve was lesser, but the sealing effect is better. The performance of umbrella valve is better than other forms of valve. So we known the valve of gas pump should have small opening pressure and good sealing effect. As compressibility of gas, we could easily get the height of chamber affecting the output of gas pump seriously. Through the test of cavity, we found that the pressure of gas pump was increasing with the height of cavity increasing. The increasing of cushion chamber could decrease the noise of pump working. Dual-chamber parallel pump can increase the flux obviously, and dual-chamber tandem pump can increase the pressure. So we can make many chambers to tandem and parallel.
