Run-Time Environment Middleware For Vehicle Electronics-SmartRTE

With the progress in vehicle-electronics industry, the functional scope, the complexity and the cost of development and maintenance of embedded systems are all growing significantly fast. To solve this problem, the industry is making great efforts to promote the division and cooperation, and improve the reliability of products by means of decoupling application software components and increasing the reusability. As a solution, AUTOSAR standard is being released, in which the virtual functional bus and run-time environment (RTE) are the core concepts. After analysizing the fundamental concepts of RTE and studying on the methodology of implementation, this thesis designs and implements a suite of Run-Time Environment Middleware for Vehicle Electronics -SmartRTE.This thesis focuses on the following aspects:1) It designs a system model for SmartRTE, which defines the overall concepts and the workflow.2) It designs a XML Schema file, which defines the specification of the software components and system description file as the input to SmartRTE.3) It designs a mechanism, which defines the run-time behaviors of SmartRTE and how it executes.4) It designs a code-generator, which generates code files of SmartRTE according to the input description file provided by the users.
