The utilizing and exploiture of city 3D space is more and more urgent as the development of city's construction. In recent years,pipe jacking,a new technique of underground tunnel-layingwithout digging, has been used as a main measure for pipe construction and reconstruction of cities. At the same time the prediction and control of ground deformation have become one of the main research problems. In this dissertation,a strict research was carried on ground deformation in pipe jacking construction.Based on analysis with theory and result of former researchers,we concluded that soil disturbing in pipe jacking construction is the primary reason of ground deformation and the disturbing is caused by construction stress and stratum damnifying together.In this dissertation,some researches were made about the movement caused by pipe jacking construction:the three-dimensional analytic solution of the soil displacement, the post-construction question of the pipe jacking construction and predicting the movements after the pipe jacking construction with the radial-basis function neural network theory.The main content of the thesis is as follows:(1) Using mirror image method we deduced the formula of ground deformation caused by the compression of interspace in soil,built the three-Dimension model of soil loss.Based on this model this dissertation.(2) A method of how to analyze and compute soil displacement caused by pipe jacking stress(frontispiece propulsion and friction together with adhesion between soil and instrument pipe of pipe jacking were emphases) with Ming De Ling was described in detail. at the same time, a small computer program was compiled with matlab.it was used to compute ground three-Dimension displacemen.(3) Based on the above theory a small utility program is complied using Matlab7.0 procedure to caculate the deformation caused by loss of soil and soil stress. The method discussed in this dissertation was proved available.Further,impression of all parameters to computing result was discussed and the e fective control measures d uring pipe jacking construction to decrease influenceon surroundings are put forward.(4) The program,for the prediction of the long-term settlement caused by pipe jacking, was made with Matlab software, and taking advance of the gray prediction theory.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
