Interaction of structure foundation and soil has been perceived widely by people of geotechnical world, through studying theory and practicing engineering several decades. Foundation and soil project impacts on the engineering safety, investment benefit and construct time limit. Its key is based on controlling building total settlement and differential settlement in effect. Building deformation analysis is advised and regulated by force by national, local regulation concerned. It is necessary to analyze the foundation and soil deformation.The theory of interaction of structure foundation and soil is summed up in this paper. In virtue of object oriented Finite Element approach, Visual Basic and Fortran, FSFEM (Foundation Soil Finite Element Method) software is developed on the base of geotechnical engineering GeoFEM3D software. FSFEM software included many element types, such as: hexahedron, triangular prism, construction plate, raft, pile, and several soil constitutive equations. FSFEM software could establish expediently numerical calculation model of interaction of structure foundation and soil, could analyze stress and deformation of foundation, soil and structure. FSFEM software could be provided with interactive interface operation, convenience and utility. Chinese menu could make it more agreement with geotechnical engineer in China. The software developed could make many geotechnical engineers optimize design projects, could promote interaction of structure foundation and soil to apply further.Different types of interaction of structure foundation and soil were calculated by FSFEM software developed, including interaction of natural foundation and raft engineering, and interaction of structure and composite foundation engineering. The simulating results by software computed were coincidences with the results measuring, reflected the reality of interactive of structure foundation and soil. Three dimension FEM software FSFEM could be used for checking computations of engineering, and optimizing design of composite foundation, and providing consultation opinion. Its use could save resource and make favorable economy benefit and society benefit.
