The heat preservation and insulation performance and the improvement of construction technologies of open-web sandwich structure are mainly studied in this article. Energy efficiency in buildings is obtained in the form of open-web structure compared with the building constitution measure of the heat preservation and insulation in roof. Open-web structure used in the roof large or middle span incarnates building function and mechanical performance. The project accord with the primary rhythm of energy efficiency in buildings which is spark plugged by the country, so it takes on important and practical meanings.Firstly, the basic theory of heat transfer is introduced. Equivalent heat resistance of open-web sandwich structure is deduced according to the theory of composite slab.Secondly, in a practical project, heat resistance of open-web sandwich is calculated according to the equivalent heat resistance formulary. Compared with solid slab, the total heat resistance is greatly improved and the quantity of concrete is cut down. The advantage of open-web sandwich structure is obvious in the roof of middle or large span.In addition, traditional construction technologies of open-web sandwich structure are introduced, and its defect is also indicated. The feasibility of steel tube assemble shear connector is introduced according to the characteristic of internal force distribution. And then, the construction technologies of steel tube assemble shear connector are particularly introduced. The technologies are convenient in the process of construction, so construction speed is improved. Finally, when the new construction technologies are used, heat convection is considered. The average heat convection coefficient is calculated according to the theory of boundary layer. The coefficient is in direct proportion to the air velocity. And then, the ANSYS modes are established, and some useful conclusions are acquired.
