Portal double row piles is a new type of retaining structure that developes in the recent ten years ,which is promoting used in the temporary cofferdam, deep excavation and supporting highway slope protection, and other fields. It is a very potential structure patterns, mainly used in the treatment of landslides. It was proved that this retaining structure is beneficial in the areas where strata are weaker or geological conditions are poor. Theoretical research about the portal double row piles is immature, and its structural design calculations did not reach a unanimous agreement. Therefore the further study of portal double row piles structure is full of all-important application value and practical meaning.This paper aims at the deficiency of the portal double row piles, and the force of piles is analysed to simulate the interation between the anti-slip pile and soil by the finite element method, considering the piles and soil as one of whole. The calculation formula is derivated according to the force mechanism about portal double row piles, which provide the basis for design and construction.The structure factors about portal double row piles is analysed to optimize its structure by using the ANSYS FEM software. During the finite element analysis, the finite element model about portal double row piles is established to explore every factor effect on the displacement and moment about pre-and post piles. According to the calculation formula, the internal force about the portal double row piles is derived, then compared with single pile. It is concluded that the portal double row piles have some advantageous, such as large whole stiffness and low horizontal displacement. So the portal double row piles could be used where landside thrust is larger or the horizontal displacement is lower or buried depth is limited.
