Shrinkage and creep are time-dependent characteristic of the concrete, for the long-span prestressed continuous beam bridges, the internal forces and deformations of the structure caused by shrinkage and creep should not be neglected. The influences must be considered during the design and construction.Based on the past research findings, this paper explains detailedly the concrete shrinkahe and creep mechanism, the effect factors, the calculation theories and methods. With Baihe Bridge in the point highway from Shanghai to Wuwei for engineering background, this paper designs an experiment of shrinkage and creep 50 concrete. There are two groups of experiments in the project, such as laboratory equipment and site experiment, the rule between shrinkage and creep is found through the experiment, with the comparison of the results both at home and abroad, the satisfactory result is attained. And then analysis srinkage and creep effect for the Baihe bridge. At the same time, this paper carry on the theoretical analysis and formula deviation to deformation of the reinforcement component due to the shrinkage and creep, and get the universally applicable formula of deformation calculation. With Baihe Bridge for engineering background, thie paper carry on comparative analysis of the deformation, section stress and prestressing loss using test fitting results and different norms at home and abroad. This experimental research provids not only the data for the construction of Baihe Bridge, but also the reference for building similar bridge in this area in future.
