The calculating temperature field of large synchronous generators has significance in design and operation of generators. For the most accurately describe in mathematics and generalize the temperature rise law, it is very necessary to calculate the temperature field of generator when the stator cooling system has broken down.This paper uses the equivalent thermal network method to calculate the stator temperature field of the water-hydrogen-hydrogen-cooled turbo-generators when the water cooling system is blocked. It simulates the stator temperature field when the stator hollow-section strands are in different blockage degree. The law between the stator temperature distribution and cooling waterway fault is generalized by researching the stator temperature distribution of generators. Some conclusions are draw from analyzing the results. It's very important to monitoring and diagnosis of the heat fault of the electrical machine.
