This paper took the cold end system of large-scale water-cooling coal-fired power units as the study object. It studied the influence of back pressure variation on turboset's thermo-economy. Through the comparison of several popular methods, it pointed out the relative merits and applying condition of all methods and found out a method that was concise, accurate and suitable to engineering calculation. It studied the influence of air in-leakage to back pressure. The influence of air concentration upon heat transfer and pressure component was analyzed based on the theory of condensation heat transfer and the state equation of ideal gas, and the mathematic model of relationship between air concentration and condenser pressure was created in the paper. It studied the operating characteristic of air extractor and presented a method which was used to calculate the relationship of suction chamber pressure of air extractor and condenser pressure. It compared water jet air ejector with water ring vacuum pump, and proposed one kind of pipeline optimization plan using air conditioning water leading in cooling water of air extractor, aiming at the problem of working water's temperature of air extractor was too high in summer.
