Calculation Of Lightning Radiation Electromagnetic Field Using FDTD Method

Electromagnetic Interference has already become the problem that must be considered in the design process of modern electrical engineering. Lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP) is so harmful that it has become a very important EMI source. LEMP affects the environment around the lightning channel, and make an impact on electric power system. So it is important theory value and realistic significance to calculate and analyze the electromagnetic of lightning stroke, which provides the basis for taking necessary countermeasures and value. This paper firstly introduces the FDTD method's fundamental principle, then some key technologies using FDTD method to solve the electromagnetic radiation problem are expatiated. On this basis, the electromagnetic field distributing conditions stroked by lightning and lots of numerical results are obtained,and the results have certain actual reference value.
