In this thesis the actuality and development of rectangular tube economizer of the power station in China and abroad is summarized. The FLUENT6.2 software is being employed for numerical simulating heat transfer and flow characteristic of the gas flowing through rectangular tube bundles in transverse direction, the correlation equation of heat transfer characteristic is derived by regression analysis and least square method, the array separation of tubes effected to heat transfer and flow is analyzed with the field synergy principle. And taking a certain power plant's 200MW boiler economizer as an example, the porous medium model and heat exchanger model are employed for simulating, bases on the velocity distributing the rational tube arrangement is adopted to optimize economizer. The paper has provided a feasible method for the structure optimizing of power plant economizer.
