The steel pipe structure has many good characteristics, such as high loading resistance, brief and smooth shape, simple node form, simple construction and economical, etc. All of these features above mentioned make the steel pipe structure be extensively applied in construction structure, especially in large span space structure.As the main forms in space steel pipe structure, beam and arch space steel pipe have been applied extensively in the recent years. This session will go sight into the dynamic characteristic and seismic design by study the actual case of the Ka Shi airport sail station building.1. Dynamic characteristic analysis of the large span steel pipe structure.The basis steel pipe truss beam the in common use parameter of the arch,the calculation structure is under the particular earthquake function, variety regulation and vibration characteristics of dynamic characteristic.Based on commonly-used parameter of steel pipe truss beam and arch, the author have calculated structure under the particular earthquake function, variety regulation and vibration characteristics of dynamic characteristics.2. Studying of dynamic response of the large span steel pipe structure. At the same time, make research on the rule of the structure response, dynamic response and dead load response under the specific earthquake function.3. Simplification of earthquake design method of large span structure make use of the calculation result of the beam and Hang arch, carry on macroscopic analysis to each parameter to find out the coefficient .further give the maxi coefficient under various engineering condition.4. Simplified calculation of the Ka Shi airport sail station building under various engineering conditions. Making the problem simpler and then solve out the problem.
