Asymmetric two-tower connecting structure with a large base is one of tall structures. It consists of two towers, a large base and connecting corridors. So, its performance of dynamic load is more complex. Because certain stiffness and damp are supported by connecting body, the seismic response is much more compex and vibration coupling and torsion increasing will occur. Main factors effecting the seismic response of connective structure are the location, number, stiffness of connecting bodies and the connecting configuration between the connecting bodies and towers.Dynamic responses under earthquake of some asymmetric two-tower connecting structures with a large base have been analyzed. The influences of stiffness of base and locations, quantity and stiffness of connecting bodies on the seismic response have been studied in this theis. The conclusions for equal height and asymmetric disposed two-tower connecting structures with a large base are as followings:(1) The connecting bodies between two towers can enhance the whole stiffness, when quantity of connecting bodies is increased, the whole stiffness of the structures is increased and periods are decreased.(2) The influence of location of connecting bodies on the first six periods are bigger than others.(3)Vibration mode of torsion appears obviously. It is especially obvious in Y direction.(4)When the connecting body is set at 2/3 height of towers, displacements of floors, story drift angles, torsion angles and shears are less than other locations. So, connecting bodies set at 2/3 height of towers has been suggested. The conclusions for unequal height but symmetrical disposed two-tower connecting structures with a large base are as followings:(1)As increasing of the bases story, the periods are decreased at the beginning and are increased in the end. Whenλ= 0.321, the first period of translation, the first period of torsion and the ratio of the first period of torsion to the first period of translation are less.(2)Large displacements are caused when the base floors are too few or too many. In order to get smaller displacements and better behavior of the structures, 0.2 <λ< 0.3 has been suggested.(3)When the connecting body is set at 3/4 height of towers, although displacements of floors is bigger, but inter forces are less. So, connecting bodies set at 3/4 height of towers has been suggested.
