After General Code for Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts (the JTG D60-2004) and Code for Design of Highway Reinforced Concrete and Pre-stressed Concrete Bridges and Culverts (the JTG D62-2004) are promulgated and implemented, it is show that our country the structure design theory on highway bridges is gradually enhancing and promoting"Constant design method"to"Probabilistic ultimate state design method". In the meantime, bridge design and calculation system took place ladger change, and especially vehicle load model was modified to the lane load with concentrated force from the platoon load. The article according to changes of vehicle load model in code, taking suitable construction design to be starting point, combined with the design scheme of Buermen Bridge and Youshui Bridge. Then, using the plane bar structure analysis program and the spatial finite element analysis software MIDAS/Civil builds the computation model of several reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete bridges (e.g. the simply supported beam bridge, continuous beam bridge, continuous rigid-frame bridge and arch bridge),with the vehicle load of the new and old highway code loading on different span length, calculated the difference of standard vehicle load effect, and the construction cost that produced from this, between the new code and old one, and The Standard of Loadings for the Municipal Bridge Design(CJJ77-98). Through calculation results are compared and studied, the action effect relation from different bridges and different vehicle load platoons are summarized; and whether the cross section stress of the old vehicle load design under the lane load confirmed to the new code are analyzed; the influence to vehicle effect of bridge span, span number, width and impacting factor are discussed; and equivalent uniformly distributed load and attenuation law are calculated; finally, compared conclusions between the new code and old one are obtained in this article. While using the new or old load platoon design bridges, if design fully considered and reasonable arranged the reinforcing steels and pre-stressed reinforcements that is well enough to meet the code requirement, and there is only some different reserve of cross section.
