In recent years, with the rapid development of Chinese economy, energy shortages and environmental pollution problems are becoming more and more severe,our country have established a great many policies about saving energy and reducing emission. Solar energy as a new and clean energy has attracted more and more attention from the government and researchers. In the field of solar energy utilization, solar energy photovoltaic cell, solar energy water heaters and other products have been used in a certain range, solar lighting products and solar buildings are also being tested and applied. In the late 1970s, solar air conditioning technology turned up. According to statistics, the air conditioning energy consumption in the civilian hold a considerable proportion in the total energy consumption. Solar-driven lithium bromide absorption refrigeration system can be an effective way to save high grade energy, and its destruction of the ozone layer coefficient (ODP) and the greenhouse effect coefficient (GWP) are zero, it is qualified for the current environmental requirements.In the traditional solar absorption refrigeration system, due to the limited heat source temperature, the system's cooling load and coefficient of performance is low, and many scholars do some improved, for example by using the two-heat source method, using compression - absorbing composite refrigeration cycle, using enhanced heat transfer and mass transfer methods, these methods can improve the coefficient of performance but consume high-grade heat sources, and how to improve the coefficient of performance of solar energy absorption refrigeration without extra heat sources, becomes the focus of the study.On the ground of the principle of mass transfer and enhanced mass transfer theory, a new vortex generator was presented, it can be used for solar energy and low-temperature absorption refrigeration system, solving the disadvantages of the traditional solar absorption refrigeration. The new vortex generator consists of two chambers, one is lower chamber and the other is upper chamber. The weak lithium bromide solution spray to the lower chamber through the tangent nozzle, makes a strong swirling flow, forms a lower pressure region in the center of the lower chamber which is helpful for the evaporation of lithium bromide solution, evaporates at lower temperature heat source, and improve the coefficient of performance and cooling load. It shows that the system can produce a 5.14 kW of cooling load at the temperature of 70℃~80℃, the coefficient of performance of the system is 0.78, which is nearly 20% higher than the traditional solar absorption refrigeration system. Obviously, the new generator is very practical.
