Research On The Influence Of Driving Experience To Traffic Flow Characteristic

With the rapid development of economy and the in-depth process of urbanization, cities'communication and traffic demand become more and more important. Urban expressway has the characters of high traffic load capacity and high speed traffic, which make it becomes the main stem of the city. But with the increasing numbers of vehicles and drivers, a higher demand on traffic management of urban expressway has been advanced. So the research on the influence of driver characters to traffic flow will provides a new exploration of today's traffic problem.Through introducing of the existing experimental methods of data collection, autosim system has been chose by this paper. By this system, the author made a series of car-following experiments by professional drivers. After analyzing and processing availably, a lot of car-following data which reflect the expressway characters in Beijing have been achieved, at the same time, author divided all drivers into two types by the standard of driving years, one type is the adequate experience drivers, and the other is the inadequate. Later, based on the above studies, the author confirmed the reflection time of two types of drives and their behavior influence on traffics. Base on the previously work and optimized data, car-following models which reflect two types of drivers have been demarcated, and the models have heen validated finally. What's more, the author uses BESS software to make the simulation experiment and gains the influence of two types of drivers on traffic flow. After comparing the results, some measures and suggestions have been put forward.
