During the informization development for battlefields, wireless communication networks are applied with various structures in order to fulfill the demands of diverse operations. These networks are mutually independent and difficult to quickly turn into backup channels for each other. On the other hand, due to the increase in the command, control, and state information of battlegrounds, existing wireless narrowband channels are impossible to satisfy the need of secure information transmission within the process of information interaction. This paper proposes a general technique scheme for the information transmission platform of field operations and mobile commanding. This scheme gives a solution to the integrated access and mutual backup of various wireless channels, automatic channel switch by priority, and secure information transmission within wireless networks. The systemic design is related to two key techniques:One is for optimum seeking and automatic switching of wireless channels. Based on this technique, a controller design and implementation of wireless communication channels is proposed. The controller can synthetically connect to diverse channels, such as TBR-121C ultrashort wave radio stations, TCR-154A shortwave radio stations, CDMA communication channels, and user devices of BEIDOU No.1. It can organize channels with different structures into one communication network and provide various means of wireless data transmission for users. The system is able to automatic select communication channels in the order of CDMA 1, TBR-121C, TCR-154A, and BEIDOU No.1. Furthermore, these four means of data transmission can mutually backup. The other is for secure information transmitting in wireless narrow-band environment Referring to mobile communication systems of U.S. Army, a solution for the UDP+ application layer no-connection reliable transmission protocol is presented to ensure secure information transmission in the cases of wireless networks, aiming the limitations of the traditional commercial TCP protocol when utilized in wireless links. Furthermore, 47001/IP communication protocol stack model is presented based on the OSI seven-layer protocol model. Based on these, a detailed design and implementation of the application-layer connectionless reliable transmission protocol is completed for application layer connectionless secure transmission protocol. This paper first introduces the background and the state-of-arts of related techniques, and then proposes the overall structure of the information transmission platform for field operations and mobile commanding. After that, the paper concentrates on the wireless information channel selective-preference and auto-switch technology, and the reliable information transmission technology in a wireless narrow-band environment. Based on these techniques, the system implementation and application are described. At last, the work in this paper is summarized and future work is listed.
