Water issues is one of the important issues which the world is facing today,and the irrational exploitation and utilization of groundwater has brought a series of negative effects, how to guarantee sustainable development and utilization of groundwater becomes one of the water scientific research direction.Based on the previous numerical simulation of groundwater ,on the basis of a finite element method and a platform of groundwater numerical simulation software FEFLOW, selecting Xingping City of Shaanxi Province for the study area, collecting meteorological, hydrological and groundwater monitoring data information, finishing calculation, this article analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the groundwater and established the groundwater flow numerical simulation model.the main results has been achieved are:(1) Analysis the rainfall and surface runoff of the study area in recent years, selecting groundwater date of monitor wells of Xingping and its surrounding areas in the 1980s and from 2002 to 2005, this article analyzed the dynamic characteristics of groundwater, and got the following conclusions:Abundant rainfall in the 1980s, less rainfall in the 1990s;After 1990s,the flow of Weihe reduced; Groundwater table rose quickly in the loess plane in the north of Xingping after 1980s, became more stable after the 1990s.Groundwater table decreased in the Weihe River alluvial plain of Xingping,became stable afer 2002;Generally,the highest groundwater table appears in November to February (next year),the lowest is in July to September; Using professional contour mapping software SUFFER,this article drew a groundwater contour map of representative year, groundwater contour map of annual rate of change and monthly rate of change.(2) Based on related drilling and geological section, on the basis of the previous groundwater research results in the region nearby, a three-dimensional concept of Xingping groundwater models and mathematical models was established.The groundwater numerical simulation software FEFLOW was used to establish the corresponding water flow numerical model.Through several times of parametertesting, running, pattern recognition for the model, results showed that the basic model has basically achieved the simulation of the hydrology geologic body.The model could provide a scientific basis for groundwater resources optimization, management and mining of Xingping.(3) Based on the an analysis of groundwater dynamic change,this article proposed that there is potential groundwater exploitation about 15,000,000 m3/a in the Weihe River valley first-level terrace, using the groundwater flow numerical simulation model has been established, the artilce simulated the change of the groundwater table after 15 years at the design exploitation.For the problems have been identified through the model building process,this article proposed that the research of Xingping's hydrogeological conditions should be strengthened,and give some advices to the use of groundwater numerical simulation model.
