Steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) structures is a new high-technology concrete which is applied in steel reinforced structure (SRC), and it is the development direction of SRC structure. It makes full use of excellent mechanical performance and durability of high strength and high performance concrete (HSHPC) so that the safety and durability of structure are enhanced during service. The merit of HSHPC and steel can be used effectively, hence, seismic performance and the ductility of compression members can be improved. In addition, self-weight can be reduced, steel can be saved, and nicer economic benefits can be obtained.In this paper, based on experimental results of 8 SRHSHPC frame column specimens which are tested under low cyclic repeated loading, the skeleton curve, failure pattern, hysteretic curves and variation relationship between shear span ratio, axial compression ratio, concrete strength and shear bearing capacity of SRHSHPC columns are obtained, and influence law of shear span ratio, axial compression ratio and concrete strength on shear capacity is analyzed.In the light of experimental results, the strains of concrete, stirrups and steel web are obtained, failure mechanism of diagonal compression failure and shear-bond failure are discussed, and upper limit value of axial force is put forward in calculation of shear capacity of SRHSHPC columns. Combining with tensile strength f_t of concrete, principle of superposition and statistical regression analysis, the calculation formula of shear capacity of SRHSHPC columns is obtained. Calculation results agree well with test ones, so as reference, the proposed calculation formula can be applied in calculation of shear capacity of SRHSHPC columns.Research results will supply experimental data and theoretical basis for seismic-bearing capacity calculation of SRHSHPC frame columns, and give premise condition for establishment of calculation theory and design method of SRHSHPC columns. It will promote the development and application of SRHSHPC structures in further.
