The joint of Steel Reinforced Concrete (SRC) special-shaped column frame is one of the most important members in SRC special-shaped column structural system. Based on the research achievement of the reinforced concrete (RC) special-shaped column in the past decades and compared with the theoretical and experimental study fruits of the RC special-shaped column as well as Steel tube concrete, the shearing resistance capacity, breaking resistance behavior and the ductility performance had been studied comprehensively through three different perspective experimental, theoretical and numerical simulation. The reasonable modeling and analysis method has been probed and proved to be valid to SRC special-shaped column through the results comparing between the experimental and numerical simulation.All the achievement and exploration in present paper can be authentic reference to the future researching. At the same time, some experiences of ANSYS application concerning SRC special-shaped column including the perfect numerical simulation modeling method are summarized and the shear capacity formula raised in this paper had been verified. This paper is helpful for the further studies on the shear behavior of steel-concrete composite beams under negative moment and the engineering design.Now, The main task and conclusion in present paper are listed as follow:1. Several groups of SRC Special-shaped Column were calculated with finite element method (FEM). The validity and feasibility of the numerical simulation have been verified by the comparing between the experimental results and calculation results. And reasonable modeling method has been put forward.2. The shear capacity formula and cracking resistance formula has been given with preference of essential mechanical hypothesis and mechanism model through the elaborate observation and deeply analysis to the whole failure course of the specimens.3. The compatibility of the RC Special-shaped Column joint calculation method in RC shaped-shaped code of China to the SRC special-shaped column joint had been appraised and modified properly.4. The more practical mechanical model and more simple and convenient formula used in civil engineering practice had been established by comparing the formula of SRC Special-shaped Column joint created in this paper to the correlative stipulation.5. The feasibility of the numerical simulation with ANSYS to the SRC Special-shaped Column joint had been verified firstly. Then the shear capacity formula and the cracking resistance formula had been checked through contrasting the numerical simulation results to the experimental results.
