With the rapid development of the modern economy, keeping traffic and transportation safe and orderly are becoming more and more important. Intelligent Traffic System is being followed. Technology of the vehicle detection is the key to the series of technologies for the intelligent traffic system. Researching on the technology for the vehicle detection based on image processing is just the hot of this field.This paper base on the related research and the latest technique of domestic and international. Considering the difficulty of keeping balance between the noise and the edge, this paper describes the ameliorative arithmetic, based on the partitions of indiscernibility equivalent relation, noise pixels can be separated. The method can remove the noise efficiently as well as the detail edge is preserved and enhanced.This paper describes the combining RS of neural network for vehicle classification. In the traditional neural network used for vehicle classification, the number of nerve cell of input layer was decided by the experience of the designer. Its result is lacking scientific proof and this method can't compose the optimization structure of ANN. Pattern recognition based on the rough sets theory and neural networks is introduce in this paper. This system utilizes the rough set theory to reduce the input attribute of ANN, increase the frame of the neural networks, and increase the speed for diagnosising.This paper introduces the design of vehicle flow detection based on Niosâ…¡. The effectiveness of the optimization program was verified in the final system test.
