The neutral indirectly grounded power distribution system under 35 kV has widely used in our country. The internal over-voltage frequently occurs in the system and lots of faults have been caused. So, it is practically important to analyze the principles and the causes of the internal over-voltage in power distribution system and to find ways to eliminate it. This paper analyzes various kinds of the internal over-voltage and determines which one would be in main cases, then gives a profound and pertinent analysis to find ways for the solution of the problem, which has great significance for the guidance to the power distribution system . As the key-important ways to eliminate the over-voltage, the integral of increment current, and the method of single-phase grounding detection by means of the increment integral have been put forward . It is proved through simulation that the ways very highly sensitive and can precisely indicate the fault feeder.
