Without regarding the type of structure and material, the code for Seismic Design of Building (GB50011-2001) take the same value (2.8125) of seismic influencing coefficient R in different structural systems. So the good capacity of energy-disspation and ductiliy of steel structure cannot be used surfficiently according to the code. for the lower damping value of steel structure, that the design seimic force is larger than the force of concrete structure is not utilized sufficiently. After carefully studying the papers about the structural influencing coefficient R, the method based on elastic-plasticty time-history analysis are presented for the structure influencing coefficients.In this paper, nine K-eccentrically braced steel frames (including 10-story, 20-story, 30-story,3-span,5-span, 6.6 meter span and 9 meter span) are designed and analyzed with selected seismic record by time-history method. And their structural influencing coefficients are investigated. On the basis of the results, tentative structural influencing coefficient are proposed for k-eccentrically braced steel frames dual systems.The structural influencing coefficient, ductility coefficient, over-strength coefficient and lateral inter-drift angle of different storeys, spans and span numbers of frames on the behaviour factors, are investigated. Finally, the change rule of storeys, spans and span numbers of frames on the behaviour factors are given.
