Vortex Tube is a simple device for energy segregating with functions of refrigeration and heating, and it has following advantages: maintenance-free, energy-saving, environmental protection, inexpensive and so on. In order to improve the efficiency of cooling and get the relationship of vortex tube's character and nozzle's structure, a experimental scheme of nozzle's sturcture optimizing was designed using orthogonal method. In addition, The 2D temperature field, velocity field and pressure field were simulated by Fluent software, and the effect of inlet temperature and inlet pressure were studied. Moreover, the cabinet's 3D temperature field and velocity field is also simulated by Fluent software when vortex tube was used to cool the cabinet, and this vortex tube cooled method was compared with the traditional water-cooled method. Finally, the advanced technology of vortex tube's application were introduced to the pressure-regulating system of natural gas as well as the cooling of electronic equipment on the basis of analyzing the advanced technology abroad widely.
