With the development of the power system,breaker,as one of the power system controllers , must be able to reliably and rapidly control the power system.This thesis mainly makes the research on the new type breaker——hybrid power electronics circuit breaker.Hybrid power electronics circuit breaker makes use of power electronics component to act as power electronics converting current device on the foundation of traditional breaker,and can effectively improve switch speed and life of traditional breaker.Based on referring to lots of correlative technique literatures,this dissertation briefly describes the background significance and the advantages on capability and working principle of the hybrid power electronics circuit breaker,introduces national and international research actualities on hybrid circuit breaker ,synthetically discusses present problem of hybrid circuit breaker research,and hereby proposes the content this paper will study.First,the dissertation discusses the theoretical gist of the choice of power electronics component in the device,chiefly compares specially the characteristic of GTO,IGBT and IGCT.Finally uses IGCT as nucleus parts of apparatus to form power electronics converting current device of hybrid circuit breaker combining with actual request.For the purpose of analyzing action capability of IGCT,a single 2T-3R simulation model of IGCT is established and the influence of volt-ampere characteristic on anode-grid of IGCT is simulated using ORCAD.Based on the structure of grid driving part of IGCT,it particular analyses the principle of grid driving for IGCT.Second,this dissertation primarily discusses the fault detection part of the hybrid circuit breaker.After summing up several fault detection methodes,a hardware device based on band-pass filter is studied,a short-circuit current detecting method based on feedback neural network is proposed , and its characteristic is simulated.The result shows that,this method can find out short-circuit current rapidly and effectively.It is significant for improve response pace of breaker.In the end,the whole circuit of hybrid circuit breaker which uses IGCT as primary component of an apparatus has been studied,and the action characteristic of the hybrid circuit breaker has been simulated.
